City tour of Medellin

- Tour around the most representative places of Medellín as El Poblado neighborhood and its Golden Mile, Sculptures Square, metro and “metro-cable” (cable-car), north zone (where is located Botanical Garden, Explora Park, Park of Desires, Route N, for a panoramic tour - you don`t enter these places during the tour. Stop in the park of desires to take photos), then we will continue to "barefoot park", Intelligent Building and Pueblito Paisa, where you also get off to visit it, to buy handicrafts and go up to the viewpoint to see the panoramic view of the city.

Tour of Guatape and El Penol
- Breakfast at hotel
- Departure from hotel at 09:00 for a full day tour to visit the attractions of some villages located towards the east of Antioquia: stop to buy handicrafts.
- The Salto del Tequendamita, a small natural waterfall about 20m high. The Peñol, a 220m high rock (does not include the climb). you can see the panoramic view of the reservoir from the viewpoint next to the stone. Includes simple and typical lunch of the village and snack. Guatapé at 2km from Peñol crossing the bridge is a very picturesque place with very striking plinths in the houses, you can stroll along the boardwalk. Possibility to do a short boat ride or kanopy over the dam (optional activity) The tour ends with the villages of Carmen de Viboral, Guarne and Marinilla.

All cancellation, change, or update requests must be submitted in writing by email to travel@palacetours.com. Please allow at least 48 hours (and in some cases longer) for us to review, confirm, and process the request and advise any applicable fees. A cancellation, change, or update takes effect only once we have received and processed the request, and we will confirm the outcome to you once it has been processed. Cancellation timeframes and the applicable fee are calculated by reference to the local time and normal business hours at the destination where the tour is provided; a request received outside those business hours (including evenings, weekends, and public holidays at the destination) is treated as received on the next business day at the destination, and a further processing period of at least 48 hours (and in some cases longer) then applies before the request takes effect.
Guests need to add 3 business days to the above timeframes. An administration fee of 15% on any monies paid by the client will be charged prior to refund.

Frequently Asked Questions & Tips
The Medellin Experience is a 4-day, 3-night tour. Day 1 is arrival and transfer to your hotel, day 2 is a city tour of Medellin, day 3 is a full-day tour of Guatape and El Penol, and day 4 is check-out and transfer to the airport.
You arrive at Rionegro airport, which serves Medellin, and are transferred with assistance to your selected hotel in the city. On day 4 you are transferred back to the airport. Airline tickets are not included in the tour price.
The four-hour city tour on day 2 covers El Poblado and its Golden Mile, the Sculptures Square, a ride on the metro and the metrocable cable car, and a panoramic drive through the north zone. It continues to the Barefoot Park, the Intelligent Building and Pueblito Paisa, where you can buy handicrafts and enjoy a view over the city.

No. The north zone, where the Botanical Garden, Explora Park and the Park of Desires are located, is seen on a panoramic drive, and you do not enter these places during the tour. There is a photo stop at the Park of Desires, and you get off to explore Pueblito Paisa.
El Penol is a 220-metre-high rock in eastern Antioquia with views over the reservoir. The climb is not included in the tour, but you can see the panoramic view of the reservoir from the viewpoint next to the rock.
Guatape is a very picturesque village about 2 km from El Penol, known for the striking decorated plinths on its houses. You can stroll along its lakeside boardwalk, and a short boat ride or zipline over the reservoir is available as an optional activity.
The full-day tour departs from your hotel at 09:00 on day 3. A simple, typical village lunch and a snack are included, and the day also stops at the Salto del Tequendamita, a natural waterfall about 20 metres high, and for handicraft shopping.
