OVIEDO
Baggage collection from 14:00 h. to 15:00 h. on the 1st floor of the Renfe station (Ticket Offices-FEVE). 16:30h guided tour of Oviedo, including the Cathedral and the Holy Chamber. Welcome on board, presentation of the crew and accommodation. Catering dinner on board, while the train heads for Galicia. Night as we move to Viveiro.
VIVEIRO
Early arrival in Viveiro. We start the morning as every day enjoying a delicious breakfast buffet. After breakfast, transfer to Ferrol by coach for the pilgrims who wish to walk the first stage; Ferrol – Pontedeume (26 Km.). For those who do not want to walk, coach ride to the northernmost point of the Iberian Peninsula, the Estaca de Bares cape, later visiting the Beach of Bares and O Barqueiro, with free time for lunch. In the afternoon, transfer of the visitors to the train, on the other hand, pick up the walkers in Pontedeume to return to Viveiro. Free time for dinner and night on board in Viveiro.
ORTIGUEIRA & VIVEIRO
As we have breakfast, the train will move to Ortigueira. From here by coach, we will bring the Pilgrims to Pontedeume, to start their second stage to Abegondo (31 Km). Visitors will make a tour to the Sanctuary of San Andrés de Teixido and Cedeira, with free time for lunch. In the afternoon, transfer of the visitors to the train and pick up the walkers in Abegondo to return to Ortigueira. Free time for dinner and night in Ortigueira.
FERROL & ORTIGUEIRA
While having breakfast, the train will travel to Ferrol, then the coach will bring the pilgrims to the starting point of the third stage: Abegondo - A Calle (25 Km). The rest of the guests will approach A Coruña on the bus where we will spend the morning, enjoying a free time for the lunch. In the afternoon, return to the train in Ferrol. That night we will have dinner together at a typical Pulpería. Overnight in Ferrol.
FERROL & OVIEDO & SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA
After breakfast on board, transfer of the pilgrims by coach to A Calle, the beginning of the fourth and final stage, which will allow them to reach Santiago de Compostela (27 Km.). Once in Santiago you will have free time until the afternoon. The rest of the Guests will departure by coach from Ferrol to Santiago de Compostela. Free time in Santiago. By late afternoon, pilgrims and tourists will get back to the train in Ferrol. While enjoying dinner on board (catering) the train will depart for Oviedo. Overnight on board while moving.
OVIEDO
Early arrival of the train in Oviedo. Breakfast on board and farewell to the crew and the train, ending the journey around 11.00h.

Up to 30 days before departure: refund less 15% official tour price.
Between 30 and 15 days: refund less 25% of the total.
Between 14 and 5 days: refund less 50% of the total.
Between 4 and 1 day(s): refund less 80% of the total.
Less than 24 hours or failure to turn up: No refund, 100% of the total is payable.
Since these are international terms an additional 5 days will be added in order to process refunds.
An additional 15% Administrative fee will be charged from Palace Tours against refunds. All cancellation fees and administrative fees is applicable for FULL Tour price before coupons.
All cancellation, change, or update requests must be submitted in writing by email to travel@palacetours.com. Please allow at least 48 hours (and in some cases longer) for us to review, confirm, and process the request and advise any applicable fees. A cancellation, change, or update takes effect only once we have received and processed the request, and we will confirm the outcome to you once it has been processed. Cancellation timeframes and the applicable fee are calculated by reference to the local time and normal business hours at the destination where the tour is provided; a request received outside those business hours (including evenings, weekends, and public holidays at the destination) is treated as received on the next business day at the destination, and a further processing period of at least 48 hours (and in some cases longer) then applies before the request takes effect.
The above times are based on Spain time. In order to provide enough time for processing cancellation, guests need to add 3 business days to the above timeframes.

Frequently Asked Questions & Tips
It is a 5-night, 6-day round trip from Oviedo. The journey starts on a Wednesday afternoon in Oviedo and finishes back in Oviedo on the following Monday, when the train arrives early, breakfast is served on board and the trip ends at around 11:00.
Baggage is collected between 14:00 and 15:00 on the first floor of Oviedo railway station, at the FEVE ticket offices. A guided tour of Oviedo, including the Cathedral and the Holy Chamber, starts at 16:30, and you then board the train to meet the crew and settle into your compartment before dinner.
From Oviedo the train heads west overnight into Galicia, stopping at Viveiro, Ortigueira and Ferrol on consecutive days. On day 5 guests travel by coach from Ferrol to Santiago de Compostela, and that evening the train returns to Oviedo overnight, arriving on the Monday morning.
Yes. Guests who wish to walk are taken by coach to four stages of the Camino ending in Santiago de Compostela: Ferrol to Pontedeume (26 km), Pontedeume to Abegondo (31 km), Abegondo to A Calle (25 km) and A Calle to Santiago (27 km). Walkers are collected at the end of each stage and brought back to the train for the night.
Walking is entirely optional. Guests who do not walk follow a coach programme on each day instead, and both groups meet back on the train every evening, so couples with different interests can travel together.
The coach programme visits Estaca de Bares, the northernmost point of the Iberian Peninsula, with the beach of Bares and O Barqueiro; the Sanctuary of San Andres de Teixido and Cedeira; a morning in A Coruna; and free time in Santiago de Compostela on the final touring day.
Each walking stage is between 25 and 31 km in a single day, so walkers should be comfortable with long days on foot and ideally have trained beforehand. If that is too much, the coach programme covers the sights with only light walking in towns.
All five nights are spent on board El Expreso de La Robla. On the first and last nights the train travels while you sleep, and on the middle nights it stays parked in Viveiro, Ortigueira and Ferrol, which makes for quiet nights and lets you step out into the town in the evening.
A buffet breakfast is served on board every morning, and the fare includes lunch and three dinners in select restaurants or on board, with beverages served at meal times. The itinerary also leaves free time for some lunches and dinners in the towns, which are at your own expense.
On the Saturday evening in Ferrol the whole group dines together at a typical Pulperia, a traditional Galician restaurant known for octopus prepared in the local style. It is one of the social highlights of the trip, bringing walkers and non-walkers together around one table.
Yes. An accompanying guide travels with the group throughout the route, the group sightseeing tours by coach are included as set out in the itinerary, and the admission fees to the places visited in the programme are covered by the fare.
The fare excludes domestic and international airfare, travel insurance and any visa fees, personal items such as laundry and souvenirs, extra hotel nights before or after the trip, and anything not specifically listed as included. We can arrange a hotel in Oviedo before or after the journey on request.
Fares start from about EUR 2,000 per person sharing a double compartment (roughly USD 2,294), and single occupancy starts from about USD 3,812. The exact fare for each departure is shown on this page.

A deposit of 15% of the fare confirms your place, and the balance is due 35 days before departure. Children are priced by their age at departure in two bands, 0-5 and 5-11.
Flights and transfers are not included, so plan to reach Oviedo by early afternoon on the Wednesday in time for the 14:00-15:00 baggage check-in. Many guests arrive the day before, and we can book a hotel night in Oviedo for you so you start the journey rested.
