Rüdesheim
Arrive in the charming wine town of Rüdesheim around 12:00 PM, in the heart of the UNESCO-listed Upper Middle Rhine Valley. Relax on board this morning as the ship cruises toward Bamberg, arriving at approximately 2:30 PM. At 8:00 PM, the ship departs for Budapest, the "Pearl of the Danube." Overnight on board.
Budapest
Arrive in Budapest around 8:00 AM. Divided by the majestic Danube into the historic districts of Buda and Pest, Hungary's capital is one of Europe's most beautiful cities. Your included guided city tour (minimum number of participants required) visits many of Budapest's highlights, including Parliament, the Opera House, Heroes' Square, the Central Market Hall, the Chain Bridge, and Fisherman's Bastion, offering spectacular panoramic views. This evening, enjoy Budapest's magical illuminated skyline as the city comes alive after dark. The ship remains docked overnight.
Mohács
This morning, arrive in Mohács at approximately 8:00 AM, an important city in Hungarian history and the gateway to southern Hungary. After time to explore, the ship departs at 2:00 PM, crossing into Croatia. In the evening, arrive in Vukovar at approximately 7:00 PM for a brief stop. This historic riverside city offers a glimpse into Croatia's rich heritage and resilient spirit before the ship continues its journey at 11:00 PM. Belgrade

It is a 14-night transcontinental river cruise aboard the MS CruceNova, from Amsterdam to Belgrade along the Rhine, Main and Danube. Meals, guided shore excursions and an English-speaking cruise manager are included, and fares are per person in US dollars.
The route runs from Amsterdam via Cologne and the Rhine Gorge, through the Bavarian cities on the Main and upper Danube, and on to Vienna, Budapest and finally Belgrade. In two weeks you cross the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary and Serbia.
Boarding at the Amsterdam river port starts at 3:00 PM on Day 1. After a welcome gathering with your fellow travellers, the ship sails at 6:00 PM. The welcome dinner and first night are on board.
On Day 2, after a morning cruising the Rhine, the ship reaches Cologne at about 5:00 PM. There is an included guided walking tour of the Old Town and the UNESCO-listed Gothic cathedral, which needs a minimum number of participants. The ship sails at 10:30 PM into the Romantic Rhine.
On Day 3 the ship reaches Rudesheim at about noon. The town is in the UNESCO-listed Upper Middle Rhine Valley, known for its castles, and from the dock it is a short walk to the historic centre and the lively Drosselgasse lane. The ship sails at 7:30 PM towards the Main River.
Both cruises start in Amsterdam and follow the same Rhine, Main and Danube route to Vienna. Legends of the Rhine and Bavaria ends in Vienna after 10 nights. Grand Discovery carries on down the Danube to Budapest and Belgrade, for 14 nights in total, and adds Hungary and Serbia.
There are four categories on the MS CruceNova, all with a French balcony: Category D on the Middle Deck aft, Category C on the Middle Deck, Category B on the Upper Deck aft, and Category A on the Upper Deck. Every stateroom has a private bathroom, individually controlled air conditioning and river views.
The lead fare is for Category D. Category C adds about US$60 per person, Category B about US$300 per person, and Category A about US$400 per person. The exact fare for each category and departure is shown on this page.
Fares start from about US$4,099 per person sharing, in Category D. Port and tourist taxes and a fuel surcharge are added on top. The exact fare for each departure is shown on this page.
For sole use of a cabin, a single supplement of 50% of the per-person rate applies in Categories D and C, and 75% in Categories B and A. Single fares start from about US$6,148 in Category D, and the exact single price for your date is shown on this page.
The fare includes your cabin, and full board (breakfast, lunch and dinner) for all 14 nights. It also covers welcome and captain's events, guided shore excursions as listed in the itinerary, an English-speaking cruise manager, onboard entertainment, port charges, and Wi-Fi where available.
International flights, travel insurance, gratuities and personal expenses are not included. Drinks outside the included selection and optional excursions are also extra. Port and tourist taxes of US$130 per person and a fuel surcharge of US$120 per person are added to the fare.

Flights are not included. Most travellers book an open-jaw ticket: fly into Amsterdam and home from Belgrade. Boarding starts at 3:00 PM and the ship sails at 6:00 PM on Day 1, so arriving the day before is the safest plan.
A 25% deposit secures your cabin, and the balance is due 65 days before departure. Port and tourist taxes and the fuel surcharge are shown on your invoice with the fare.
Children are booked in two age bands, based on age at departure: under 5, and from 5 up to (but not including) 12. Child fares are confirmed on request, so send us the ages and your preferred sailing and we will quote.
Yes. An English-speaking cruise manager sails with the ship for the whole voyage, and the included guided shore excursions are offered in English. Optional excursions can be added at extra cost.
River ships stay close to shore and dock right in town, so most days you can simply walk off to explore, and there is none of the open-sea motion of ocean cruising. Fourteen nights is a long trip, though. If you would prefer a shorter first cruise, ask us about the 10-night Amsterdam to Vienna option.
Wi-Fi is included where available on board. Coverage can vary along the route, especially on quieter river stretches and in locks, so don't rely on a constant connection for work or streaming.
