Friday - Arrival to Bogota
Transfer with a private service from the El Dorado International Airport to your chosen hotel, where you will check in and prepare for the following day.
Saturday - Bolivar Plaza, La Candelaria, Gold Museum, and Monserrate Sanctuary
- Upon breakfast, go on a walking tour of Plaza de Bolívar, where the National Capitol is located, as well as the Primate Cathedral of Colombia, the Liévano Building (current headquarters of the Mayor of Bogotá), Nariño Palace (current residence of the head of state) and Palacio de San Carlos (former seat of residence and government of the Liberator Simón Bolívar).
- Continue the walk through La Candelaria neighborhood, declared a National Heritage Site, and admire its vibrant facades. Visit the Gold Museum, which holds a collection of pre-Columbian gold, different metals, fabrics, and more.
- Take the cable car or funicular to the Sanctuary of Monserrate, located 3,200 meters above sea level. Once at the top, admire the most impressive panoramic view of Bogota.
Sunday - Salt Cathedral of Zipaquira
Go on an hour-long drive to Zipaquira, a town near Bogota, for a visit of the Salt Cathedral, built within salt mines. It takes up the area of 8,000 m2 and consists of three main naves. The main altar is built in salt, and it features a 16-meter high cross, which is illuminated and seemingly appears to be levitating. Daily departures available.
Monday - Transfer Out of Bogota
Check out of your hotel after breakfast, and take the private service to the airport for your return flight.

All cancellation, change, or update requests must be submitted in writing by email to travel@palacetours.com. Please allow at least 48 hours (and in some cases longer) for us to review, confirm, and process the request and advise any applicable fees. A cancellation, change, or update takes effect only once we have received and processed the request, and we will confirm the outcome to you once it has been processed. Cancellation timeframes and the applicable fee are calculated by reference to the local time and normal business hours at the destination where the tour is provided; a request received outside those business hours (including evenings, weekends, and public holidays at the destination) is treated as received on the next business day at the destination, and a further processing period of at least 48 hours (and in some cases longer) then applies before the request takes effect.
Guests need to add 3 business days to the above timeframes. An administration fee of 15% on any monies paid by the client will be charged prior to refund.

Zipaquira is about an hour's drive from Bogota. The Sunday excursion is a private tour, so you travel with your own guide and driver to the Salt Cathedral and return to your hotel in Bogota afterwards.
