The itinerary uses Spain's rail network for every leg, including the high-speed train from Madrid to Malaga on day 3, followed by Malaga to Seville, Seville to Cordoba and Cordoba back to Madrid. All tickets are booked with assigned seats, and Luxury class travels in first class.

Hop-on hop-off bus tickets are included in Madrid, Seville and Malaga in both classes. In Madrid you can use the bus on your arrival day for an orientation tour, and in Seville the ticket covers 2 consecutive days that you can activate on the day you arrive.

Use the bus to visit the Royal Palace, Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol, Retiro Park, Plaza Cibeles and the Prado and Reina Sofia museums. On day 2 you can instead take an optional excursion to Toledo, Avila or Segovia, available through us at special rates or bookable yourself once there.

With three nights in Seville you have time for the Royal Alcazar, Seville Cathedral and Plaza de Espana, using the 2-day hop-on hop-off bus ticket to get around. In the evening you can choose to see a Flamenco show, one of the best experiences in Andalusia.

Your free days in Seville are ideal for short trips to the neighbouring towns of Ronda, Cadiz and Jerez. Other activities such as Segway tours of the city may also be available to purchase from us or directly when you are there.

Cordoba's must-sees are the Mezquita, the Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba, and the Medina Azahara, both testaments to the harmony of different cultures in Andalusian history. You arrive by train from Seville on day 8 and have the rest of the day to explore on your own.

The package ends in Madrid. On day 9 you have breakfast in Cordoba, check out and board the included train back to Madrid, which makes it easy to connect with international flights. Extra hotel nights in Madrid can be added on request.

Domestic and international airfare, travel insurance, visa fees, personal expenses such as laundry and souvenirs, extra hotel nights before or after the package and anything not listed as included are excluded. Optional excursions such as Toledo or Granada are priced separately.

Yes, children are priced in two bands by age at departure: under 5 years, and 5 to 11 years. Children aged 12 and over pay the adult fare. Share the ages when you enquire and we will quote the correct family price and room set-up.
