This 3-night journey on board El Expreso de la Robla takes you through the impressive sights and breathtaking landscape of Northern Spain that passes by your window, socialize with fellow passengers in the train’s lounge and indulge in a variety of culinary delights each day.

Itinerary

DAY 1

BILBAO / SOTOSCUEVA / VADO-CERVERA

(Friday) Bilbao – Frias – Espinosa de Los Monteros

Luggage check-in at 14:00 h in Bilbao’s La Concordia Station. At 15:00 h, reception of the entire group on board the train. After settling in, El Expreso de La Robla will set off for Espinosa de Los Monteros. We will take our coach to visit the town of Frías and the Tobera Waterfall. Dinner and overnight stay in Espinosa de los Monteros, a beautiful town in Burgos Province’s Las Merindades region.

DAY 2

CISTIERNA / MATAPORQUERA

(Saturday) Espinosa de Los Monteros - Románico Palentino – Cistierna

While enjoying our first breakfast on board, the train will take us to Mataporquera. From here, we will travel by coach to some magnificent spots on Palencia’s Romanesque Route that forms part of the Camino de Santiago; Carrión de los Condes, Fromista, and Saldaña. We will tour this locality and enjoy some free time before going on to visit the Canal of Castile and Romanesque Church of San Martín. Free time and lunch. In the afternoon, we will continue to travel back in time by visiting the Roman town of La Olmeda and its magnificent mosaic collection. Back on board the train, El Expreso de La Robla will take us to Cistierna, where we will have dinner and spend the night.

DAY 3

LEóN

(Sunday) Cistierna – San Feliz – Leon

While we have breakfast, El Expreso de La Robla will take us to San Feliz. From there we will travel by coach to the city of Leon. Tour of its old town, San Isidoro, and the Cathedral. Free time and lunch, to end the trip at approximately 4:00 p.m.

15% of total tour cost due at the time of booking
85% or balance no later than 35 days prior to tour departure date

CANCELLATION FEES:

Up to 30 days before departure: refund less 15% official tour price.

Between 30 and 15 days: refund less 25% of the total.

Between 14 and 5 days: refund less 50% of the total.

Between 4 and 1 day(s): refund less 80% of the total.

Less than 24 hours or failure to turn up: Â No refund, 100% of the total is payable.

Since these are international terms an additional 5 days will be added in order to process refunds.Â

An additional 5% Administrative fee will be charged from Palace Tours against refunds. All cancellation fees and administrative feesÂ is applicable for FULL Tour price before coupons.

Cancellations should be intimated by FAX to the corporate office in Miami FL.

The above times are based on Spain time. In order to provide enough time for processing cancellation, guestsÂ need to add 3 business days to the above timeframes.Â
