Founded on the fertile plains of the River Corbones, Carmona is a monumental town, shaped by the different cultures that have settled here throughout its long history. Churches, palaces and ancient walls are part of the important artistic heritage of its historic district, dominated by the powerful image of its Arabic fortress, the Alcázar del Rey Don Pedro. The town is just a few miles from Seville, Ishbilya, allowing visitors to enjoy this city's immense monumental and artistic heritage, such as the Real Alcazar fortress, which Abd al-Rhaman III began building in the year 913. Other major sights include the Cathedral, the Giralda, the Tower of Gold, or you could enjoy Seville's countless leisure and entertainment alternatives.
