Itinerary


Cities Covered : Edinburgh ,  Spean Bridge

Board the Belmond Royal Scotsman train in Edinburgh where it departs in the early afternoon. Travel through Falkirk towards Craigendoran, the starting point of the West Highland Line. Have afternoon tea as you travel past Loch Lomand and up the waterfall-rich Glen Falloch. Watch the incredible scenery roll by from the comfort of the Observation Car, or step out on the veranda for fresh air and a closer look. Stop in Spean Bridge for the night and enjoy informal dinner and entertainment in the Observation Car.


Cities Covered : Arisaig ,  Fort William ,  Bridge of Orchy

Today continue west, passing through Fort William. Here you will get a view of Ben Nevis, Britain's highest peak. Stop at Arisaig to walk along the Morar Sands (famously known as the "Silver Sands of Morar") and admire the Isle of Skye's Cuillin Mountains. Return to Belmond Royal Scotsman for lunch as it travels back towards Fort William, followed by a trip to Glenfinnan Monument. Here, a Highlander will explain the area's history before you enjoy tea at Inverlochy Castle. Alternatively, you can walk to the beautiful Steall Waterfall in Glen Nevis. In the evening, return to the train in Fort William and enjoy informal dinner as you travel towards Bridge of Orchy, a small town in Argyll. After dinner, enjoy entertainment in the Observation Car, nightcap in hand.

 


Cities Covered : The Isle of Bute

Today, you will journey to the charming Isle of Bute, a small island known for its geology, history, wildlife, and landscape. Visit the Victorian Gothic house of Mount Stuart, home to a wonderful collection of family portraits. In April 2016, a Shakespeare First Folio (a large collection of Shakespeare's plays published in 1623) was newly discovered at the Mount Stuart House. Return to the train for a formal dinner on your last night as you travel from Gourock to Kimarnock where you stable for the evening.


Cities Covered : Edinburgh

Enjoy breakfast admiring the Scottish landscape as you return to Edinburgh and disembark your train later that morning.


Departure Dates and Rates

The following is included in your tour cost:

  • 3 Nights accommodation on board Belmond Royal Scotsman as per the itinerary in a State Cabin with private ensuite toilet and shower
  • Table d'hôte meals daily, including all alcoholic and other beverages
  • All entertainment and sightseeing excursions as specified in the itinerary
  • All applicable taxes

The following is excluded from your tour cost:

  • Travel insurance
  • Domestic or international airfare
  • Transfers before or after your train journey
  • Gratuities for crew members
  • Items of a personal nature, souvenirs and any other items not specifically mentioned as included.
Terms and Conditions

PAYMENT TERMS:
(i) 15% of total tour cost due at the time of booking
(ii) 85% or balance no later than 65 days prior to date of the first service sold by TRAVBUZZ / PALACE TOURS

 

CHANGE FEES:

(i) one free, then 10% of total tour value for 56 days or more to date of first service sold by TRAVBUZZ / PALACE TOURS
(ii) 20% of total tour value for 55-21 days prior to date of first service sold by TRAVBUZZ / PALACE TOURS
(iii) 60% of total tour value for 20-3 days prior to date of first service sold by TRAVBUZZ / PALACE TOURS
(iv) 100% of total tour values for 2 days or less of first service sold by TRAVBUZZ / PALACE TOURS

 

CANCELLATION FEES:

(i) 15% of the total tour value if cancelled 56 days or more to date of first service sold by TRAVBUZZ / PALACE TOURS
(ii) 30% of the total tour value if cancelled 55-21 days prior to date of first service sold by TRAVBUZZ / PALACE TOURS
(iii) 70% of the total tour value if cancelled 20-3 days prior to date of first service sold by TRAVBUZZ / PALACE TOURS
(iv) 100% of the total tour value if cancelled 2 or less days prior to the date of first service sold by TRAVBUZZ / PALACE TOURS

 

 

Cancellations should be intimated by FAX to the corporate office in Princeton NJ.

The above times are based on European time. In order to provide enough time for processing cancellation, guests  need to add 3 business days to the above timeframes. An administration fees of 15% on any monies paid by the client will be charged prior to refund.
