A Tropical Safari aboard Treasures of the Galapagos

Cities Covered San Cristóbal Island

AM: San Cristobal  

Arriving in the Galapagos, passengers are picked up at the airport by our natural guides and taken

Lunch at noon.

PM: San Cristobal - Cerro Colorado:

Dry landing. After a bus ride of 45 minutes to reach Cerro Colorado, where you can see giant Galapagos tortoises in a Breading Center.

Difficulty: easy

Duration: 2h 

Dinner in the evening. 


Cities Covered San Cristóbal Island ,  Española

AM: Gardner Bay:

Breakfast in the morning .Wet Landing.Located on the north coast of Española Island. The main attraction is the colony of sea lions, which inhabit the beach in great quantity during the breeding season. Both resident and migratory birds are observed.

Difficulty: easy

Duration: 2h

Lunch at noon. 
 
PM:  Punta Suarez:

Dry Landing. During the walk on this island you can see sea lions, marine iguanas, blue footed boobies, Nazca boobies, Darwin finches, Galapagos hawks, albatrosses, lava lizards, herons.

Difficulty: difficult 

Duration: 2h

Cities Covered Floreana Island

AM: Post office bay:

Breakfast in the morning. Wet Landing.This is one of the few visitor sites, that is visited for its human history. Whaling Captain James Colnett established the wooden post barrel in the early 1793. At the time whaling was a big industry, ships were typically gone for 2 years at a time. The Galapagos Islands were a frequent stop for these ships. Outbound ships would drop off letters after rounding the cape and the ships returning home would mail them.  
Over the years thousands of ships have stopped to send and receive mail at Post Office Bay. Many have posted a sign of driftwood or other materials memorializing their visit. This is the only area in the Galapagos were graffiti is still acceptable.

PM:  Punta Cormorant:  

Wet Landing, This site has a sandy olivine beach for walking and swimming. The island also has a flamingo lagoon. In addition, white sand beach where sea turtles nest from December to May.

Cities Covered Floreana Island

AM: Santa Fe:

Breakfast in the morning. Wet Landing. Snorkeling in the rocky coast of the island, to see a variety of fish and sea turtles.You can see colonies of sea lions, land iguanas, frigate birds, Galapagos doves and lava lizards. On the island you can see a forest of giant cacti and Palo Santo trees.

Difficulty: Moderate

Duration: 2h

Lunch at noon.  
 
PM: Tortuga Bay:

Dry Landing, interesting walk to the Turtle Bay beach, perhaps the most beautiful beaches in the Galapagos, we can swim and snorkel observing colonies of marine iguanas, pelicans, Darwin's finches, sharks, sea turtles, the incredible forest Giant Cactus.

 Difficulty: Moderate

Duration: 3h

Cities Covered Santa Cruz Island

AM: EL Chato:

Breakfast in the morning. Dry Landing. El Chato reserve is divided into two areas; Caseta and Chato. The trail begins at Santa Rosa, 22 km from Puerto Ayora, with the Caseta route being the more challenging. The reserve allows visitors to observe giant tortoises in the wild during the dry season, and is also a good place to spot short-eared owls, Darwin’s finches, yellow warblers, Galapagos rails and paint-billed crakes.

Difficulty: Easy.

Duration: 1h 30 min

Transfer out to Baltra’s Airport.

  • Any items or services of a personal nature, such as souvenirs

  • Unless specifically mentioned, any pre- or post-tour accommodations, transfers to and from hotels at the beginning and end of the tour, tour extensions, or airfare are not included in the price of your journey, but can be arranged for an additional fee.
  • All Ecuadorian citizens participating in this excursion must pay an additional tax equivalent to 12% of their total tour price.
Terms and Conditions

PAYMENT TERMS:

30% of total tour cost is due at the time of booking, with the remaining balance of 70% is due no later than 68 days prior to the tour's departure date.

If a customer wishes to change their tour dates and their original departure date is more than 68 days away, then they will be charged a $200 fee per person.

If a customer wishes to change their tour dates and their original departure date is less than 68 days away, then relevant cancellation fees will apply.


CANCELLATION POLICY:

i) As of confirmation date $1000 per person.

ii) 20% charges over the total rate of the cruise, if it occurs from 66 to 120 days prior to the departure.

iii) 100% charges over the total rate of the cruise, if it occurs within 65 days or less prior to departure.

The above times are based on local time of the destination where the tour is provided. In order to provide enough time for processing cancellation, guests need to add 3 business days to the above timeframes. An administration fees of 15% on any monies to be refunded to the client will be charged prior to refund.
