Lusitanian Route 2021 connecting from Porto to Seville onboard Al Andalus Luxury Train in an extraordinary and marvelous journey of 4 Days and 3 Nights.
Reception at 10:00 am on board Tren Al Ándalus at Porto station. Welcome toast and accommodation aboard. We will start the first day with a boat ride along the Douro River, a World Heritage site, to end in a wine cellar on the river banks. Typical Portuguese lunch in a Porto restaurant.
In the afternoon we will visit the upper quarters with its Cathedral. Dinner on board the train as we start our journey to Lisbon.
Overnight in Lisbon.
We start our morning as every day enjoying a delicious “à la carte” breakfast and buffet. Later we will visit the Monastery of Los Jeronimos, World Heritage Site, the Tower of Belem and the Monument to the Discoverers. Next we will make a panoramic tour of the city and have lunch in a Typical Restaurant.
In the afternoon we will focus our activity on the city center and its neighborhoods, spending some free time. Dinner on board while we start our trip to Mérida, Spain.
Overnight in Mérida.
Afterwards we will visit Merida, the ancient "Emerita Augusta" with one of the most important and extensive archaeological sites in Spain. Declared a World Heritage Site.
Lunch in a typical Extremeño Restaurant. In the afternoon we will continue the visit and have free time. Dinner on board as we approach our destination, Seville.
Overnight in Seville.
After breakfast, we will say goodbye to the crew and the train and go to visit the capital of Andalusia, which has the most beautiful monumental complex, formed by the Cathedral, El Real Alcázar and The Archive of Indies declared a World Heritage Site.
Lunch in a typical Andalusian Restaurant. After lunch, we will say goodbye to the group around 5:00 pm

The above times are based on local time of the destination where the tour is provided. In order to provide enough time for processing cancellation, guests need to add 3 business days to the above timeframes.

Facilities on board Al AndalusOnboard the Al Andalus you will be able to enjoy four lounge cars that were built during 1928 - 1930. In these carriages that are outfitted with luxurious decor and modern amenities you will be able to dine on wonderful meals created by the chef and his team and rest and relax in your leisure time. In the evenings you can enjoy the lovely scenery passing by and enjoy the music performances that are frequently held in the Piano Car. Wi-Fi is only available in the Al Andalus lounge car.
Accommodations onboard Al Andalus The Al Andalus has two cabin types: Standard Suites and Superior Suites. While traveling on the Al Andalus, you will discover that the suites in which you will be staying were initially built for the British Royal family. Experience charming Belle Epoque décor that subtly mixes with modern comforts, ensuring that you have a wonderful journey.
Details of Standard SuitesWithin each Standard Suite you will find comfortable sofas that convert into twin beds during the night. The cabin staff will ensure that you get all the assistance you need to make this change in the evening. There is also an en-suite bathroom in each suite with a hairdryer and toiletries for your use. Please also note that the Standard Suites are located after the Superior Suites in the train and are therefore farther from the Lounge Cars and disembarking points.Twelve Standard Suites are available and each measures 8 square meters / 86 square feet):
Details of Superior SuitesDecorated with beautiful wood panels, the Superior Suites have a large sofa which is converted into a lovely double bed during the night. In this suite you get enough space to sleep in the night and rest and relax during the day as you watch the scenery pass by through the wide windows. There is also an en-suite bathroom that is spacious and comes with a steam sauna and shower. In the bathroom there is a range of exclusive toiletries for you to use along with a hairdryer. Please note that the Superior Suites are situated closer to the front of the train, near the Lounge Cars and disembarking points.Twenty Superior Suites are present and each measures (9.9 square meters / 107 square feet):

The dress code is casual, although you may dress up for dinner if you would like. We suggest packing comfortable walking shoes and layers of clothing, since the temperatures do fluctuate from day to night.

The Al Andalus train does have wifi in the lounge of the train, although the signal is not strong and may not reach outside of the lounge car. (The signal is also best when the train is stationed.) You may use the computer in the lounge provided for guests' convenience, or you may connect to the train's wifi using your personal laptop, tablet or device.
